Note that despite this, sometimes you or another person may require more time than originally scheduled for. This is usually to address unexpected emergencies. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation if this occurs and we are running behind schedule.

Virtual Visits

Virtual visits may be done in some situations. Generally this is by phone to your preferred number for brief discussions like reviewing results.

In some cases, video appointments can be done. We use a secure platform incorporated directly with your electronic chart, called Medeo. Video visits through Medeo require the following:
-
Desktop computer: Google Chrome, a webcam and speakers or Mobile device (iOS or Android): Medeo App (free download), camera.
-
A high speed internet connection
Prior to your video appointment, you will receive an email to create and activate a Medeo account. Please do this at least one day before your appointment time to ensure things run smoothly and on time. On the day of the visit, log in and please wait in the virtual waiting room until Dr. Jones arrives. Please available for 15 minutes before and after your scheduled time in case we are running behind.

Medeo Secure Emails
Our clinic uses a messaging system through Medeo to send you documents or quick notes securely. With Medeo, Dr. Jones is able to contact you through your preferred email address without compromising your confidentiality. This is most often used to send you electronic requisitions during a virtual visit, but can also be for brief updates about your labs or important updates.
Importantly, with Medeo your confidential health information stays within the secure Medeo website at all times.
When you are sent a message in Medeo, you will receive an email to your usual email inbox that a Medeo message is available. Click the link and you will be redirected to the secure website to view the message contents. Medeo messages must be initiated by Dr. Jones.
Although we also have a general, non-secure clinic email address, this is not to be used for confidential information, including reaching Dr. Jones with questions about your health. Always call the office and speak with reception (leave a voicemail if after hours) for any health related questions or issues.
Parking
Street parking is available free of charge on much of 124th Street and in the nearby residential areas.
City parking restrictions must be respected where posted. We are not responsible for charges incurred due to expired parking.
Missed Appointments
We understand that life happens - work schedules change and urgent things come up. If you need to move your appointment, we kindly ask you advise us as soon as possible, and no later than 24 hours before your visit.

Due to long wait times, patients may be charged a no-show fee for missed appointments. This includes confirmed appointments that are not attended and appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Per clinic policy, patients may also be charged a fee for repeatedly rescheduling appointments, especially when done with short notice. Any fees owing must be paid before a new appointment will be rebooked. Thank you for helping us keep everyone's wait times as short as possible.
